Dragon Quest

The Dragon Quest series started off in 1986 on the Nintendo, currently the series has 10 games, most of which are for Nintendo consoles, the latest being “Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Starry Sky” for the Nintendo DS. The upcoming “Dragon Quest X” will be released for the Nintendo Wii next year.

The series has unparalleled fame around the world, especially in Japan where the latest installation sold over 2 million units in the first two days of its release. The series sold 47 million units in total from 1986 to this day.

Aside from the main series, there are 20 spin-offs for Dragon Quest, with most of these spin-offs focusing on the monsters of Dragon Quest.

In addition to the games of the series, there is also a manga and a anime series for Dragon Quest which started off in 1989. One of the two anime series for Dragon Quest was dubbed into Arabic with amazing voice acting and great quality which had the complete 46 episodes.

The series is truly amazing. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is one of the series spin-offs which shows us how amazing the series is with its stunning 3D graphics on the Nintendo DS explaining why the series has gained such fame and an ever-growing fan-base around the world.
