Umineko 22

So, finally got off my figurative butt and watched Umineko ep 22. Every time I come back to it after a while, I forget how brutal it actually is. o.O Not that I have a problem with that. What really surprised me was Maria’s cruelty. I knew it would only be a matter of time before she was pushed too far. And Rosa finally revealed her true self that had shone through at several times. What I wasn’t expecting was Kinzo to be a wizard and him to carry out the sacrifices. He summoned Virgilia… which side is she really on? Odd decision to give the inheritance to one of the grandchildren. It makes sense though; it didn’t seem likely that he would favor one of his children over the others. Although I’m wondering what’s with the lack of action between Battler and Beatrice outside the “chessboard”, as Battler calls it. Maybe it’s just this ep.
