Major

Major – Goro’s dream is to become a professional baseball player like his father. As he strives through the path towards the pro league, from infancy to adulthood, his passion for the game galvanizes all of those around him.

Shigeharu Honda is a Major Leauge batter on the rise. His son Goro is a Little League pitcher who one day hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps. Momoko Hoshino is Goro’s schoolteacher, and the first woman Shigeharu has been interested in since the death of Goro’s mother. The destines of these three individuals will become intertwined as father and son experience both heartbreak and triumph on the baseball diamond. But when an unspeakable tragedy visits the family, it will take everything they have to pick up the pieces and reclaim their dreams.

Kindergarten~First Grade

Goro’s father, Shigeharu Honda, was a pitcher struggling between the major and minor teams of the NPB. Nonetheless, Goro looked up to his father, wishes to be a professional baseball player just like his father. Aside from his father, Goro was very close to two other people—Momoko Hoshino and Toshiya Sato. Momoko was Goro’s kindergarten teacher, and especially watched out for Goro because there are no other kids of Goro’s age at the kindergarten. Toshiya was another kid in the neighborhood, the only one Goro could find of his own age, and whom Goro taught baseball to.

The father and son were struck a cruel blow when Honda’s arm injury prevents him from continuing his baseball career as a pitcher. Goro was especially shaken by the fact that his father wouldn’t be able to continue as a baseball player anymore. To Honda, his son and baseball are all he has left in his life (his wife died 2 years ago). For his son’s sake, Honda took up his best friend’s advice, revived his batting instincts, and successfully transformed into a slugger. Amidst all this turmoil, Momoko was drawn deeper and deeper into the family’s life. Eventually, Honda proposed to Momoko.

Right when Honda established himself in the major team Yokohama Marine Stars, the Tokyo Shiants signed a contract with the American MLB player, Joe Gibson, famous for his huge physical build and fast balls. When the Marine Stars with Honda and the Shiants with Gibson finally met on the field, Gibson struck out every single Marine Stars batter, except for Honda. Honda managed to touch the ball on his first at-bat, and at his second at-bat hit a home run off Gibson’s 100-mile (160 km) best pitch. After Honda’s home run, the Marine Stars coach launched a series of bunt attacks, scoring additional runs, and psychologically shaking up Gibson who considers the tactic unsportsmanlike. When it was Honda’s third at-bat, Gibson has completely lost mental focus, and accidentally pitched a 99-mile (159 km) dead ball hitting Honda’s head. The umpire immediately called Gibson off the mound, though Honda quickly got back onto his feet and continued with the game. Honda’s excellent play made him the headline of major newspapers. The next morning Honda died due to internal bleeding in his skull, leaving his heartbroken son and fiancé behind.

Little League

Three years has passed since Momoko Hoshino, unmarried, adopted Goro as her own son upon Honda’s death. Goro began school as a fourth grader, and was finally old enough to join the local little league team, the Mifune Dolphins. However, the local kids were mostly interested in soccer, and Goro had to get new friends he made at school to join in order to have enough members to keep the team from being abolished.

Goro showed himself to be an extremely gifted baseball player. So much in fact that the Dolphins coach hated to see Goro waste away his potential with the other less-talented Dolphins players. The coach recommended Goro to join the nearby Yokohama Little team instead, which has better players, coach, and resources. When Goro visited, he discovered that not only was his old buddy Toshiya at Yokohama Little, but his own father, Shigeharu Honda, had been a member of the Yokohama Little with the current coach. Goro was torn, because if he were to follow his father’s footsteps, that meant he would be abandoning the friends he asked to join the Mifune Dolphins. Goro had a big fight with Momoko over the issue, and Momoko sought advice from Hideki Shigeno, Honda’s old buddy and teammate. While meeting with Shigeno, Momoko coughed blood, and was hostipalized. While it turned out it was just a gastric ulcer, it made Goro realize the living people are much more important than the dead.

At that time, Joe Gibson had just returned to the MLB after pitching in Japan for three years. He sent an invitation to Goro to travel to America, all expenses paid, and watch the MLB All-Star game, where Gibson was going to be the starting pitcher for the National League. At the game, he declared to the American League’s player that he would only pitch fast balls. Gibson threw 18 strikes, not a single slugger of the AL’s top rotation could touch Gibson’s pitch despite knowing what’s coming, and Gibson earned standing ovation from the audience. This was Gibson’s own way to show Goro how great a slugger Honda had been, as Honda had hit a home run off Gibson’s best pitch in a duel of only fast balls. After the game, Gibson allowed Goro to throw a hardball at him, where ever Goro wants to, if it would make Goro feel any better. Goro responded that he would postpone this “punishment” until the day he could pitch as well as Gibson, which was Goro’s own way of acknowledging Gibson’s greatness.

Back in Japan, with renewed determination, Goro led the Mifune Dolphins through various trials and practice matches, intending to defeat Yokohama Little, the best team in the region. At the end of the season, Goro’s adoptive mother marries Shigeno Hideki and the new family moves to Fukuoka when Shigeno is traded from the Marine Stars.

Junior High

Goro moves back to Mifune when his stepfather is traded back to the Blue Oceans and finds his little league friends grown up and attending Mifune East Junior High School. He surprises his friends when he tells them that he has been playing soccer and doesn’t plan on playing for the junior high baseball team, revealing that he had destroyed his shoulder out in Fukuoka. Goro changes his mind after confronting a bully who is threatening one of his friends. Together, Goro and his friend Komori Daisuke rebuild the junior high baseball team. The team becomes strong enough to enter the regional junior high tournament and, once again he finds himself playing against his friend and rival Sato Toshiya, who plays on the Tomonoura Junior High School team. Mifune eventually beats Tomonoura in a tight game and Goro and Toshiya vow to play on the same high school team together.

Kaido High School selection

After the tournament, Goro, his friend Komori, and Toshiya decide to try out for the baseball team of the prestigious private high school, Kaido. Komori is disqualified in the Kaido baseball club test and is forced to go to Mifune High. Goro and Toshiya get through the first round of the test. After the test there is an academic examnation which Goro also “succeeds in” as it is a test of determination. Immediately after they graduate middle school they are sent to Dream island where they have 6 months of ongoing hard training. He then proceeds to the Atsugi campus where he defeats the Varsity team and quits despite the anger of the 2nd in charge.

Kaido High School

Goro and Toshiya make the junior varsity team and spend a year and half together as teammates. However, in their second year, Goro reveals that his true desire is to challenge the excellent players of Kaido instead of play on the same team as them. His friend Toshiya is hurt by Goro’s decision, but respects him for it. The season ends with Goro leading the junior varsity team to victory over a scrimmage against the varsity team, and with Goro quitting Kaido High School to play for another team.

Seishū High School

Goro has returned home after quitting Kaido. Upon his arrival, his mother voices her displeasure with the fact that he did not consult with her about his leaving. She insisted Goro to be accountable for his actions and to accept the responsibility of paying the application fees on which ever schools he chooses to enroll in. Goro’s enrollment had been refused by several schools due to the assistant coach of Kaido (Egashira) threatening to sue the other schools. Goro was able to finally avoid Egashira’s interference by enrolling in Seishū High. Having been an all girls school until just two years ago, Seishū didn’t have a baseball team. Goro enrolls, determined to create a baseball team from scratch. Eventually, Seishū reaches the quarterfinals against Kaido. Despite extending the game into extra innings and striking out both Sato and Mayumura, Goro eventually falls after exhaustion. He loses to Kaido in the end.

Minor league baseball

Despite losing the match against Kaido, Seishū Highschool was the only team that actually put up a fight against the Koshien champion. As a result, Goro attracted the eyes of many scouts, including the Yokohama Blue Ocean and the Tokyo Warriors. However, upon learning that Joe Gibson is still pitching in MLB, and dedicated his 300-win achievement to his “young friend in Japan”, Goro lost any interest in Japanese professional baseball, and went to America to try out for the Major League. Meanwhile, Sato is recruited by the Tokyo Warriors, while Mayumura is recruited by the Yokohama Blue Ocean.

Goro’s 95 mph (153 km/h) fastball (99 mph in anime), while ineffective against Major League sluggers, allowed Goro to start in Triple A instead of the rookie league. At first he joined the Cougars, but was soon released after a fight with Joe Gibson Jr. from the Oklahoma Falcons. Eventually, Goro joined the Memphis Bats, an aggressive but defensively weak baseball team. It was during this time that Goro begin seriously training to fully control his fastball.

In Triple A Goro found a new rival—Joe Gibson Jr, son of Joe Gibson and an outstanding slugger. Junior blamed the death of Goro’s birth father as the cause of the tragedy that befell on his own family, and he challenged Goro to a bet: If Junior hit a home run off Goro, Goro is to return to Japan and never set foot on American soil again; On the other hand, if Goro can strike out Junior, then Junior will visit Goro’s father’s grave and apologize for his insults. Goro managed to strike out Junior with his fast ball, now at 100 mile/h (102 mph in anime), and lead his team to victory in the AAA Championship. (In the anime he did this twice)

Baseball World Cup

After the baseball season was over, Goro returned to Japan. Shimizu finally told Goro her feelings for him, and they became a couple. On the other hand, Goro learned from Toshi that there is going to be a Baseball World Cup the following year hosted in America, and for the first time, Major League players will be allowed to compete in it. Due to Goro’s impressive performances in the practice match between Rookies and the All-Star Japan team, he was selected as a replacement pitcher starting the second round of preliminaries. Goro pitched as the closer against Venezuela and South Korea, earning a win and a save respectively. Then Mayumura earned a win, pitching as closer against the Dominican Republic, advancing Japan to the semi-finals.

Shimizu came to America to cheer Goro on, and encountered Toshiya’s younger sister, Miho Sato. The day before the semi-finals match against Cuba, Toshiya accidentally ran into his sister, and the traumatic memories of being abandoned by his parents 7 years ago were reawakened. Toshiya’s body went into involuntary shock, and was temporarily hospitalized. Miho felt guilty about the incident, but Toshiya called her on the phone, and asked her to come watch the next game. By knowing his sister is somewhere in the audience, Toshiya felt he would be able to do his best. Toshiya made several excellent plays against Cuba’s aggressive offensive in the semi-finals, and Goro got the win as the closer.

After the Cuba game, Gibson Jr. revealed to the Team USA’s manager as well as Goro that his father, Joe Gibson, had angina pectoris. Junior hoped that the manager and Goro might be able to dissuade Gibson from getting on the mound and potentially kill himself. However, with players mostly in a “exhibition game” mentality, Gibson got on the mound in the 8th inning in the USA vs Venezuela semi-finals, risking his heart to awaken the baseball spirit of his teammates.

The following day, Gibson collapsed during practice session, and Goro rushed to the hospital to see Gibson. Gibson revealed to Goro that in a chance meeting with Momoko 10 years ago, he asked her why she had not accepted any monetary compensation from him. Momoko smiled gently, and asked Gibson to remain a top-class baseball player until Goro grows up, so that Goro could be proud of having a father who hit a home run from such a great pitcher, and that would be enough for her and for Goro. Momoko’s kind words had been the pillar that supported and drove Gibson all these years, but he felt if he could not complete this Baseball World Cup, and play against Goro on the mound, he would have failed Goro and Momoko. Goro comforted Gibson, telling him that he had done enough, and to just watch Goro and Junior’s showdown on TV.

The Japan vs USA finals game began with Japan taking a five run lead, prompting Gibson to leave the hospital and went to the stadium to cheer his teammates on by their side. Japan had to send out Goro in the 8th inning to protect their remaining 1 run lead, but Junior scored a home run off Goro’s 100-mile (160 km) fast ball. The game went into extra innings, and Gibson walked onto the mound again, determined to lead USA to victory. But Goro was very determined to strike out Gibson Jr.. And Goro pitched his fastest pitch in his life at 103 mph (166 km/h). But USA won in the very last inning.

Major League Baseball

As the new MLB season began, Goro performed extremely well for the Hornets in the exhibition matches. On his first official MLB match, he pitched a no-hit no-run game up until the 8th inning, when he suddenly lost control. On his second game, his pitches started to go wild by the 5th inning. Suspecting yips, his catcher Keen stopped Goro from voluntarily stepping off the mound, gambling on the chance that Goro can overcome his fears with a new success. Unfortunately, Goro ended up throwing at the batter in the head, and was ejected by the umpire. In his third game Goro was unable to retire a single batter. He was removed from the game in the first inning and sent back to AAA Bats until his situation improves.

Believing that Goro’s defeat at the hands of Gibson Jr. was the cause of his yips, the Hornets sent Goro to Billy Oliver, a sports psychologist, for treatment. Soon after Goro recovers from his yips. Later on, Gibson retires after getting defeated by Goro’s home run and the Hornet’s. (Vol 69)

Me Pinto El Viejazo

Nada. No importa nada.

Eve no jikan: insanı insan yapan nedir ki?

Eve no jikan (Time of Eve) 15′er dakikalık 6 bölümden oluşan, internet üzerinden yayımlanmış bir anime. Hikaye robotların uzun süredir kullanımda olduğu androidlerinse yeni yeni bütün evlerde kullanılmaya başlandığı bir gelecekte geçiyor.

Androidler insanlardan kafalarının üstündeki halkalar ve ifadesiz yüzleriyle ayrılıyorlar. İnsanların çoğu tıpkı kendilerine benzeyen bu “canlılara” (Richard Dawkins canlı sayılmaları gerektiğini söylüyor, kendisine katılıyorum.) eşya muamelesi yapsa da androidler açığa vurmadıkları duygulara sahipler ve insanlardan habersiz olarak bağımsız ve son derece insani davranışlarda bulunabiliyorlar. Hatta “Time of Eve” isimli kafede ikinci bir hayat yaşadıkları bile söylenebilir.

Excited because...

Natsume: „Va veni. (Keji Osawa, n.a.) […] Ea (Maria, n.a.) e reporter japonez şi ar trebui s-o cunoşti. […] Şi e prietenă cu reprezentanta Iron Strife. (Canaan, n.a.)”

- în urma „exploziei” amercianii sunt convinşi ca Osawa Kenji a murit;

- Natsume primeşte aceeaşi informaţie şi o crede;

Flames Of Revenge

On souffle.

Conclusion : 7.8/10. Un anime vraiment sympa’ :) !

KIMI NI TODOKE

Kimi ni Todoke is a story about a girl named Sawako that people always misjudge, and everyone thinks she’s Sadako from the Ring.

TT______TT OMG STORY OF MY LIFE!!!
Except for me, it was the Grudge…

So yeah. Because I figured I related to Sawako a lot, I read the manga a loooong time ago and stopped early for a really stupid reason. Then just recently they started airing it as an anime, so I’m watching that.

At first, I was only gonna watch it ’cause Chiichama wanted to and I was a little bit interested in seeing how things would turn out. I didn’t have many expectations for it. And after I saw the promo video, the opening, and ending, I thought I wouldn’t like the anime…

I just watched ep 2 and KYEEEE I LOVE KIMI NI TODOKE SO MUCH. ;______; I would TOTALLY watch it now that I love it! ;__; It’s so good… <3

She looks soooo cute with her hair up! ^^

TT___TT I guess after my ending the manga on a bad note, I COMPLETELY forgot and didn’t realize how much I loove Kazehaya-kun and how endearing Sawako is! Kazehaya is suuuch a good guy ;___; I’m a sucker for anime guys like that. [SYAOOORAANN~] And it’s so sweet >__< that he would like a girl like Sawako..

AND SAWAAKKKOO! ;_______; I know how you feel! T.T

HIGH FIVE, SAWAKO! ;_; Well I’m good with children and most dogs, but it’s people who’re afraid of me.. D;

In middle school, my friends would ALWAYS say “You know what you should be for Halloween?! The girl from the Grudge! You’re JUST LIKE HER.” ..every year……

And then just a few years ago in 8th grade, people always picked on me in science….. They’d say things like, “MEOW. MEOW. Did you hear that, Eva?! Now turn into the Grudge and kill the cat!” >__< I’m not even joking. People always said stuff like that to me TT_____TT

And then in freshman year, I was really violent because, for example, my own guy friends made a bet in which if one of the guys lost, the punishment was that they’d have to hit on me…… ;___; That’s the worst insult to a girl, so I lost my temper a lot and I’d hear stuff like “Don’t walk next to Eva! She’s dangerous!” or “What the hell is wrong with her?!” and everyone was reaaaalllyy scarreddd of meeee TT____TT

I had to work really hard the rest of freshman year and sophomore year to change my image… Despite that, even now in junior year, I feel like I can’t always be myself + that I’m disliked + that people are secretly afraid of me.. T.T Sawakkoooo~~ I’m on your side~ Oh and in the 1st ep, people were like, “Since you came in last, Kazehaya, your punishment is to go out with Sawako for a week!” ;__; soo meaaannn.. thank goodness he stood up for her, but I know how that feels~

Now I can’t wait for the next episode ^0^ *__*

And as for the people who called me the Grudge.. >[
I will have my revenge on them. Someday. When they least expect it.

Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo

Some things are just straight up tight. I wrote earlier about a movie that changed my life — the anime classic Princess Mononoke — and now for a series that did the same thing. Strangely, many people have not heard of Samurai Champloo.

“Samurai what?? .. Samurai champoo?? .. What kind of name is that?”

Yeah… Anyway, it’s legit. I remember sitting up on the phone back in high school, watching the first episode of this show, with me and Karl screaming at each other the whole time about the ridiculous krunkness of what we we were watching. The series follows the battles and lives of Jin, Mugen, and Fuu as they journey together on an endeavor to find the “Sunflower Samurai,” as directed by Fuu. Their relationship is dynamic and dysfunctional at times, but at the end they walk away — literally — as friends. Champloo combines the holy trinity of what makes an anime for me: action, animation quality, and story — and its hits each one with astounding precision.

In every episode is a deeper look at some aspect of human relation. They cover it all — living with society vs living outside it, following the heart, crazy ass evil vs controlled and thought out evil, sex — specifically, men getting the living s**t tricked out of them by women AND women getting the living s**t tricked out of them by men, and many aspects of true love are included as well. It’s incredible.

And I don’t even want to get started on the music. You can enjoy the series JUST for this — a nuclear fusion of hip hop, jazz, techno, soul, and Japanese traditional. Every episode is like a mini concert played from the soul of a break dancing samurai.

“The Sunflower Samurai” … haha I could go all day on this. Even when you think you’re there, when you think you’re going there, there is no “there”. You never get “there”. Adjust your goals, and tighten your life up.

Jin

Mugen

Fuu

and, just for effect, my favorite woman in the series:

Yatsuha

It’s cuz she’s such a good fighter, I swear!

Animereview: Chrome Shelled Regios

Anime so. Chrome Shelled Regios is cool x)

Inuyasha the Neverending Story - 02

Omg (´;ω;`)! I had no idea Kagura would die so early on. I almost cried (´;ω;`). I totally shipped Kagura and Sesshomaru. (Rin is too much of a loli and she’s a human so it would never work out except in weird doujinshi ) Poor Kagura seriously(´;ω;`). I knew she’d be dead eventually but I didn’t realize it would be in the 2nd episode! I guess that means Kikyo’s death is around the corner as well. Oh well I don’t care about her, since she’s died at least 4 times already anyway xDDD What’s another to add to the pile? I guess the show really is moving along and laying low on the filler.

Asura Cryin' 2 Episode 2 (EX015) - Hikkikomori and Tsundere

Did you dream that you were only third in the Asura Cryin' Character Polls?

There, like I promised. Asura Cryin’ 2 episode 2 is here!

Like I said before, Asura Cryin’ 2 is a direct continuation to the series’ first season. So to those interested, please watch from episode 1 of the first season!

This episode focuses on the Third Student Council President, Kitsutaka Tooru, and the President of the Science Club, Kagayaki Tokiya. The story of Kurogane’s first Handler. The day of the Tanabata and Tomoharu’s wish.

Expect tsundere Tooru?

Last episode summary:

Because of starting another fire panic, the Science Club was tasked to clean the pool. But during their punishment, Ania spots a weird-looking koala walking around. Due to her curiosity, she follows the said koala which led to the other members to follow her. They end up in the Rakurowa Ruins, where several Castas Machina guard it from intruders… which is them. Upon hiding in an old building, Tomoharu and Kanade get flashbacks from the First Stage World. President Tooru and Yoh of the Guardian Dragoon bust them out and later, they find out that the koala is actually the Science Club’s President.

Episode 2 (EX015):

The episode starts off with Kurogane using a lot of power.

Tomoharu was begging Misao to stop or she’ll disappear. Misao seems to be fine with it and right after her projected existence vanished, Kurogane stopped moving. Its core opened up and reveals that the Burial Doll has been used up, much to Tomoharu’s horror.

Luckily, Tomoharu wakes up. It was nothing but a dream.

Tomoharu looks at Kurogane’s trunk. He wants to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible and the only person who could tell him everything is none other than Natsume Naotaka, his older brother.

Opening song: Alternative (オルタナティブ) by angela

The next day, everyone seems impressed at the giant bamboo that Shuri brought to them. It appears to be Tanabata there. Misao teaches Ania about using the tanzaku (paper where you write your wishes and to be hanged on the bamboo) because she’s a foreigner.

Tomoharu asks Shuri if she knows how to contact his older brother since she was the one who brought Kurogane’s trunk. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know. Shuri explains that Kurogane’s trunk had been in the possession of the Royal Dark Society and his older brother only requested her to deliver it to him. However, Shuri adds that one of the Royal Dark Society may be able to tell him the information he needs: President Tooru.

At school, Tomoharu was riding a bike with Shuri behind him and were almost late. Suddenly, Mahiwa and Vivian (his Daughter) also arrive.

Mahiwa is pretty smart to use his Daughter to go to school. Saving money and effort.

Vivian was on a rush since Mahiwa is late but Mahiwa couldn’t control the speed. Tooru suddenly comes up in front of Vivian, fully stopping her and sending Mahiwa crashing away. Tooru scolds Mahiwa and tells him not to use his Daughter to go to school.

Misao seems impressed about Tooru and asks Shuri what Tooru’s power is. Shuri explains that Tooru is an Ex-Handler, a being that is unaffected by Asura Machina and Daughters. Misao then insists that Tomoharu should also become one and then asks Shuri how one becomes an Ex-Handler. Knowing that a Burial Doll must be completely used up to become an Ex-Handler, Shuri steers the conversation to Naotaka, whom Tomoharu is supposed to ask Tooru about but when they looked back at the school gate, there was nobody there anymore.

Later, at the Science Club room, the koala from last episode and Ania seems to be having fun, calling the other members of the Science Club “trash”. Tooru bursts in and looks for a “Tokiya”. They all wonder who Tokiya is and then Tooru picks up the koala doll. It seems the koala’s name is Tokiya and Tooru complains that Tokiya did not go to class again.

That's animal abuse!!

Tooru begins shaking the koala and suddenly, it faints. Ania panics and thinks the koala died. She snatches it away from Tooru and starts slapping it in an attempt to revive it. Tooru tells her to stand back and she suddenly pulls out her long sword. Tokiya the koala realizes this and suddenly gets up to catch the blade.

For a koala doll, he sure has nice reflexes.

But in the end, he's still a koala doll...

As Kanade repairs the doll using sewing materials, Tooru explains what the koala is. It acts as a transmitter to all of Tokiya’s five senses. Tokiya is indeed a human being and he is using the koala as a puppet, though whatever the koala feels, he feels it as well. Tokiya can also terminate the contact of the koala to himself to save him from certain situations. Shuri adds that her equipment are made by Tokiya as well as Mahiwa’s robot. Tokiya is someone special.

Ania then thinks that Tokiya may know a lot about the Burial Doll system but as she inquires the koala about it, Tokiya cuts off the connection. As Tooru leaves, Tomoharu asks her about his brother’s contact information. Tooru wants something in exchange. She wants Tomoharu to make Tokiya attend school again because in three days, Tokiya will have excessive absences and therefore, he’ll be held back a year.

Tomoharu accepts the mission and suddenly, Tooru thanks him with a different tone. She seemed pretty excited and happy. The members of the Science Club wonder as Tooru leaves.

As they head out, they pass by the First Student Council’s building. Reishirou was heading out with a bunch of people in white standing.

Welcome to the Society of Light!

Reishirou comments on how Tomoharu is with Kanade again and Misao keeps on thinking that Reishirou is just ignoring her. Tomoharu explains that they were ordered to visit the Science Club President by Tooru. He also notices that Reishirou was carrying a trunk. Reishirou explains that he was delivering his trunk back to the Guardian Dragoons. The trunks are present to allow the sacrifice of a human being to be a Burial Doll for the Asura Machina. The owner of the trunk is the Handler unless on some exceptions, like when two people control an Asura Machina. An Asura Machina cannot be summoned in two places at the same time. I didn’t understand much of what Reishirou was explaining.

At that point, Tomoharu thinks that Kurogane may have been used by a different Handler before. Reishirou figures out that the Royal Dark Society did not tell him anything and just tells him that he’ll find out soon and leaves.

They reached their destination: a bomb shelter-like shed in-between two large residences.

Misao jokes about summoning Kurogane to bust open the bomb shelter and Tomoharu overreacts, telling Misao to not joke about something like that. Tooru and Yoh arrive as well shortly after they arrived. Tomoharu asks them why they’re there and Tooru explains that her house is there (the blue roof one). Tokiya’s house is beside hers (the red one). Yoh explains that she’s there to train with Tooru.

Tomoharu then wonders why he has to be the one to encourage Tokiya to come back to school since Tooru is Tokiya’s neighbor. Tooru says she cannot do it but before Tomoharu can ask for an explanation, they hear a sound of something hitting against something else.

That could work against Beatrice...

It was Misao. She was trying to peek inside the bomb shelter but for some reason it’s solid even for her. Yoh tells them this is because the walls are enchanted, meaning it is immune to Projected Beings and not even nuclear warfare can do anything about the defensive barrier.

Tomoharu starts to think they should just give up. It doesn’t seem like Tokiya has any intention of going out. Tooru says it’s probably because she’s there and suddenly leaves. Misao wonders if Tooru is angry and Yoh explains that Tooru is sad… very sad that she couldn’t cry anymore. Kanade inquires if someone died and Yoh confirms it. Kanade says that she knows that kind of sadness so she knew it was that.

And so, Yoh begins to tell them a bedtime story (even though the sun is still up). There were three childhood friends: Tooru, Tokiya and Tooru’s older sister, Aki.

(from left to right) Tooru, Aki and Tokiya.

Aki and Tokiya were very close friends. Aki died. The end.

Yoh adds that Aki became Kurogane’s Burial Doll… and the Handler was Tooru. Tomoharu then gets several flashes to Tooru’s mark of being an Ex-Handler, then when he witnessed Reishirou become one and then his dream earlier this episode with a new added scene.

Extra dream scene: Tomoharu Matrix mode!

Tomoharu gets affected by such a touching and short story and starts pounding on the bomb shelter, calling out to their President.

Part B:

The night of Tanabata. Shuri and Ania were wearing yukata. Ania was hanging the koala doll to dry it up. Shuri commends her for being brave enough to wash the doll and she explains that it was because the koala doll was starting to smell weird…

Yukata!

Ania then notices that Tomoharu hasn’t written anything yet in his tanzoku and claims that he must have a lot of wishes. Shuri tells her that it could be the opposite. And Shuri’s right.

But you already are!

Tomoharu doesn’t have any idea what to wish for. Misao helps him by suggesting some of the usual wishes of people. She notices that Tomoharu isn’t really in the mood and she tells him not to worry too much about her. She’ll be fine. She then floats off to sleep.

As Tomoharu becomes alone, he walks up to the bamboo and hangs his tanzaku beside the koala doll. He claims that he has had enough of everything. He wishes to change the fate of Handlers and Burial Dolls.

In another place at an undisclosed time, Shuri enters an old wrecked building, hoping to find Naotaka, but instead, she finds a girl inside. The girl doesn’t introduce herself but she knows Shuri. She informs Shuri that Naotaka is no longer there and leaves in an Ice Phoenix. As Shuri sees the phoenix, she deduces the girl is from the Torishima family.

Leaving so soon despite this being your first appearance?!

The next day, Tokiya still hasn’t come to school. Suddenly, Tooru runs to Tomoharu and tells him that Tokiya has gone missing. His bomb shelter was opened and left a small note. “I’m going to meet with Aki.” Of course, since Aki’s dead, Misao concludes he wants to go to “heaven”. Ania figures out it may be the cause why the koala doll’s been inactive for a while. Tooru faints and Yoh randomly pops out of nowhere to catch her.

Tomoharu says they have to look for Tokiya fast. He asks Yoh if there was a place where Tokiya frequently visits or a place special to Aki and him. Yoh then realizes Tokiya must be heading to the place where Aki died.

The seaside is always an epic place to die.

They are now at the place. They quickly start looking for Tokiya. Tooru finds a shoe near the sea but realizes they’re not Tokiya’s and drops on her knees. Misao comforts her and as Yoh tries to do the same, Tomoharu asks Yoh what happened to Aki as a Burial Doll for the sake of the plot.

Yoh’s bedtime story, part 2. They were at that place to eliminate an Asura Machina. Tokiya was the commander of the Guardian Dragoon.

Kagayaki Tokiya, as the former commander of the Guardian Dragoon.

Hisui can also be seen (which means Reishirou may also be there) helping them. Kurogane deals the finishing blow, controlled by Tooru. As they were celebrating their victory, Kurogane suddenly loses power. Tooru runs towards Kurogane, which core has been opened, revealing that Aki is no longer there. No one noticed, not even Tooru, Tokiya nor Yoh, that Aki’s soul was already at its limit. Tooru gains the Ex-Handler mark on her forehead.

Yoh adds a moral lesson to the story: It is the fate of Handlers. You must treasure the extra time you’re given with the Burial Doll.

Tooru then sees someone near the edge of a cliff. They hurriedly run towards it and sees Tokiya, about to jump. Tooru stops him. Tokiya tells her he has to go or else, Tooru will always be in pain. He explains that he became a NEET so Tooru isn’t reminded of Aki when she sees him which could just hurt her. Tooru then says that she thought the reason why Tokiya doesn’t wanna go out is because whenever he sees Tooru, he is reminded of Aki. It was a simple misunderstanding from the beginning…

Baka, baka, baka, baka, baka, baka!

Tooru calls Tokiya an idiot for trying to kill himself for her. He then calls her an idiot as well for worrying about him. He then adds that they’re both idiots. Tokiya then brings up Tanabata and compares themselves to Altair and Vega, they met after a long time. Tooru begins crying and Yoh says that finally… Tooru was able to cry her heart out…

The following day, at school. Tomoharu and Misao spots a huge pile of records on the desk of the Science Club room.

Someone has been researching on the Philosopher's Stone!

It seems Tokiya was browsing through the records to look for Natsume Naotaka’s contact information because not even the Royal Dark Society knows where he is. Suddenly, the koala pops out.

"I'm going to get my body back!"

Tomoharu freaks out and asks him why the koala guise again. Tokiya explains that it’s easier to go around as a koala. We even get to see what his bomb shelter looks like in the inside.

"Little does he know that beyond the Truth's gate, his body is already in the possession of a might--hey, is that Nanoha?"

Misao asks him about failing and being held back a year and Tokiya just says that Tooru will manipulate his grades so he’ll be fine. Tokiya then tells Tomoharu that he’ll help him in granting his wish. Tomoharu gets a bit embarrassed that Tokiya heard his wish in the tanzaku. Tokiya leaves the room.

Misao asks Tomoharu several times if he’s okay with a koala helping him and Tomoharu replies it’ll be fine. Then they hear Tooru in the hallway, getting mad at Tokiya again and sending him away with a swift draw attack.

Ending song: Kanata no delight (彼方のdelight) by angela

Terminologies:

Guardian Dragoon or GD (Gaadian doraguun) – A group of the strongest Handlers from the Student Council. They are led by Susugihara Yoh. They are the sort of guardians who protect the school from troublemaking Handlers.

Widget (Uijetto) – Mahiwa’s robot from season 1. It was small but its strength is incredible, wielding an axe and is given orders to assassinate people. It was an invention made by Tokiya.

Comments:

Touo, battou! Tsuntsun deredere!!

Quite a romantic and emotional episode for President Tooru. The misunderstanding part is quite cute, with them being in pain due to thinking that the other is in pain.

No First Stage World hints this time.

I didn’t really expect that Tokiya was an otaku due to the nature of this show. That kinda surprised me a bit. I thought he just confines himself to do computer stuff (think of Pantsu from Higashi no Eden).

Anyway, the next episode is a ta-da, Beach episode! Season 2 is offering us things we never got to see in the first one!

This is the Bunny Chief, over and out!

Nodame Cantabile : Finale MESMO!

Oi!!^^

Eu amo Nodame, e recomendo tudo que for relacionado a série.

XOXO

2nd: Clannad – 3 votes
3rd: Eden of the East/Ef/FLCL – 2 votes

Oh yeah, about tomorrow… we won’t be doing much. I mean, Hikida-sensei might not even here tomorrow because she’s been out all week, and we can’t start watching anything because of Homecoming. Maybe we can watch some funny videos on Nico Nico Douga or watch Ken play Touhou. Well, see you tomorrow!

Głębiej o Halo, p. I

To rozlew krwi miał zadecydować, kto przejmie kontrolę nad Zieloną Planetą i jej najdalszymi osadami, a strony stanowiły tu:
1. UNSC ( United Nation Space Command – pochodna UN, powstała w połowie XXII wieku podczas Wielkiego Przeludnienia Ziemi),
3. wojska neo-komunisty Vladimira Koslova.
Kolejny poważny krwawy spór rodzi się w 2494 roku, kiedy to siły Insurekcjonistów (grupa rebeliantów) przejmują kontrolę nad Eridanusem II (planeta w systemie Eridanus), ustanawiając tam własne rządy. Jest to jedna z większych porażek ONI (Office of Naval Inteligence, wywiad UNSC).
Catherine Halsey przeforsowała start projektu o nazwie SPARTAN-II.  Z 75 niezwykle uzdolnionych dzieci pobrano materiał genetyczny, który zmodyfikowano i zastąpiono go nowym – silniejszym odpowiednikiem.
W ostateczności razem z oddziałami UNSC stawiają czoło obcemu zagrożeniu (2552r.) w bazie, która wcześniej została infiltrowana i, z której porwano Watta (w akcji udział wzięło kilku Spartan, Sztuczna Inteligencja o imieniu Cortana i W-ce Admirał Danforth Whitcomb).
W potyczce tej, ludzkość traci 2/3 swojej armii, jednak w 2531 roku Harvest wraca do ludzi, oczywiście by potem ją stracić.

Pozdrawiam

Anime Review: Valkyria Chronicles

Adapted from the PS3 game of the same name, two powerful factions, Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance and the Atlantic Federation, are engaging in war over the precious mineral Ragnite. The Imperial forces attacks the town of Bruhl in the neutral nation Gallia, where Welkin Gunther, son of late war hero General Belgen Gunther, is. With his sister Isara and Town Watch captain Alicia Melchiott, they managed to delay the Imperial forces, allowing for the escape of the townspeople. They then join the country’s militia forces as newly formed Squad 7, and begin their assault to overthrow the Imperial forces and end the war.

Valkyria Chronicles is a strategy game. Welkin is supposed to be a tactical genius who easily take advantage of the battlefield landscape to defeat the enemies with minimal losses. As such, having played the game, I was expecting the anime to have slightly more war tactics, at the very minimum to be like Tytania. However, it soon became apparent that the producers prefer to concentrate on the drama, such as character development and the relationship between Alicia and Welkin. It can still make for a great story, if not for the following.

Let’s talk about character development first. It can be either too rushed (how Alicia rejuvenated herself in within 10 secs during her fight in ep 24 when she was on the verge of giving up), or for most of the part, painfully slow. I understand that they need to give Welkin weak, indecisive moments so he can mature, but do they really have to drag it out for almost 3 quarters of the series? It’s like watching Luke from Tales of the Abyss all over again.

As for the plot execution, I feel that it can be improved upon. For example, in episode 18, I love how Rosie was singing a song for Isara at the end. However, the touching effect is diminished due to the depressed Welkin scenes and original ending credits after that. It would be more emotional if they end the series with the song instead, letting it play in place of the original ending credits, while providing flashbacks of Isara.

The aspect of Valkyria Chronicles that caused the greatest uproar is undeniably the spoilerific second opening animation, which reveals Alicia’s true identity and that she would end up with Welkin, despite all the love triangle moments with Faldio. It was hard to bear any hopes and cheer Faldio on with his love for Alicia, even though he is clearly several times the man Welkin is. This resulted in a lack of motivation to continue watching since we already know the answers to the plot twists they were going to throw at us.

On the positive side, I appreciate how the unique shading style from the game is retained in the anime. The animations can be rather beautiful as well. Faldio, Isara and Lamar turn out to be my favourite characters in the series, though I don’t like how it ended up. I also love how they cast Minagawa Junko for the role of Rosie, since I get to hear her sexy mature female voice (after all the Pandora Hearts), especially the 2 songs in episode 15 and 18.

In conclusion, Valkyria Chronicles turn out to be a slightly below average series for me. It would take a really, really, really bored day for me to rewatch it, apart for ep 15 which I have already been replaying frequently just for the song. I wish the anime would complete the background of how Cordelia became the queen though.

Bleach movie #3 mini review thing

S’alright.

I meant mini.

Really, what else is there to say about a Bleach movie? I know what it is going to entail, I know it won’t surprise me in a good way, same thing every year, shit goes down, Zaraki gets incapcitated at the start of the movie, story happens, then it ends with all the captains blowing shit up, Zaraki comes back and laughs, Ichigo fights a final boss.

For a Bleach movie? It was pretty good, Urahara got to do something for once which was a plus. My main complaint is that Hitsugaya was being painfully “haha I’m #1″ what with beating Ichigo in less than 10 seconds, and being the only captain to find anything strange about the situation initially. Hitsugaya’s “fan service” moments, such as these, irritate me, as they are really forced. You know something’s wrong when things are being forced in a freakin’ shounen movie.

Animation? Fluctuated, it was alright at times, and downright awful at others. It’s a little sad that, this being a shounen action movie, there’s not really any memorable or exciting fights. Sword of the Stranger? I remember almost every fight from that. KNK? Not an action movie but I remember every fight from that. In my eyes, Bleach has yet to surpass the Ichigo vs Grimmjaw (his name is Grimmjaw Jaguarjack, I don’t care what you say) fight from episode 121, their second fight in 166 came close however. Honestly at the rate Bleach is going now, I doubt it will surpass it anytime soon, perhaps they are saving budget up for the “I’M A DEVIL FUCK YOU” fight with Ulqauiraoraoigagalsrlasiahora.

Best part of the movie though? Yamamoto stopping a bolt of lightning with his beard (okay maybe it was his sword but I can pretend.)

DB’s subs are shit as always, I suppose I can take some measure of comfort from that.

Problem, Ichigo?

Októberi Anime Line Up - Kämpfer

Szóval jön a yuri ezerrel hamarosan. Úgyhogy élvezzétek a többit. Vagy ne gondolkodjatok.
